White Water Rafting from Cairns
If you are into adrenalin activities you can't miss white water rafting on the mighty Tully River south of Cairns. You will be picked up early in the morning by White Water Rafting veterans Raging Thunder in a comfortable coach and transported down the scenic Bruce Highway to the Tully River near Mission Beach on a 2.5 hour drive.

Scenic Drive to Tully River
The coach will travel past mountains, rainforest, sugar cane fields on the way to your White Water Rafting adventure.

Tully River White Water Rafting
The mighty Tully river winds it's way through thick lush green rainforest within the Cassowary Coast region of North Queensland. The Tully River is located inland from Mission Beach and your White Water Rafting rafts will be put in the Tully River just below the Kareeya hydro power station.

After some pre White Water Rafting tuition from your river guide you will take on the rapids of the mighty Tully River. You will be spending 4.5 hours on the river during the day.

White Water Rafting Rapids
Your raft will be controlled by a highly professional and highly trained river guide, your guide will teach you the correct techniques to navigate the rapids and to control the raft. Your guide is a fountain of knowledge and will also share the history of this unique rainforest landscape that most people never get to see.

For this White Water Rafting tour you will be travelling over grade 3 and 4 rapids. For a much more extreme White Water Rafting experience see our Extreme White Water Rafting tour also on this web site.

Like any adventure activity White Water Rafting carries inherent risks and you will be required to sign an indemnity form to that effect on the day. All participants are fitted with life jackets and helmets as a safety precaution at the top of the Tully River. You must wear these at all times while on the raft.

Pregnancy and rafting do not go together. You must also be able to swim to participate in White Water Rafting. Medics are present at the Tully River and you can discuss any other medical conditions on the day with them. People with allergies should be carrying their own Epi Pen to give to the guide to hold during White Water Rafting.

BBQ Lunch Included
Your White Water Rafting tour includes a BBQ lunch beside the Tully River. When booking please advise us of any vegetarian requirements and of any food allergies you may have.
