Uncle Brian's 1 Day Waterfalls Tour
Uncle Brian's Atherton Tablelands and Waterfalls tour takes you through a fabulous fun journey of the beautiful Atherton Tablelands region from Cairns.
Get ready for a treat as you travel through the diverse scenery of this amazing region, rolling grassy hills, deep rainforest gullies and dense eucalyptus mountains. Time to swim in majestic, cascading waterfalls, inspecting volcanic craters and birdlife of every description in the tree tops.
The tour covers a very large area during the course of the day.
Babinda Boulders - Amazing crystal clear mountain water, the oldest living history museum, a short walk to the boulders and swimming.
Josephine Falls - Amazing three stage rainforest waterfall that has one of the best swimming holes in the region.
Milla Milla Falls - Get ready to swim behind a 30 metre (100 foot) waterfall. One of the most picturesque locations in the region.
Lake Eacham - Lake Eacham is a volcanic crater over 60 metres deep and was created by underground
pressure that eventually erupts and leaves a huge crater.
Yungaburra - The last stop is a very special one as we will be looking for one of Australia's weird animals. The Platypus.
What You Will See - The Wooroonooran national park is home to over 35% of mammals, 50% of birds, 60% of reptiles. We have over 2,000 types of flowering plants growing on some of the most fertile land in Australia. You choose how you want your day. Whistle along with the music, sit in the forest and listen, sing under an intense waterfall, look for the elusive Cassowary or the Platypus.
We spend less time on Gus the Bus and more time in the rainforest.
The trip is singing and laughing am meeting new people. Uncle Brian takes you to the places locals don't want you to know about. Secret swimming holes and out of the way experiences. With Uncle Brian you will see the region as if you lived here.
