3 Day Ayers Rock Tour Cockatoo Dreaming
This 3 day Ayers Rock adventure will allow you to experience private campsites where you can either sleep in a comfortable tent or in a swag under the stars. Travel in an air conditioned minibus and learn the fascinating information and stories of the region and the aboriginal people from your experienced guide. Kike, climb and explore Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon!
Uluru tour - Day 1
Your guide will collect you from your Alice Springs accommodation around 6.00am and you will soon be on your way to the Outback Camel Farm at Stuart Wells where you have the opportunity to view the desert from the back of a camel (at own expense).
Soon after we are on our way down the highway with the next stop is at the Mount Ebenezer Roadhouse to view aboriginal arts and crafts. The first monolith we will see heading for Ayers Rock is Mt Connor (Atila), a huge flat top mesa which is often mistaken for Ayers Rock as it comes into view. Ayers Rock is some 100 kilometres further along the highway.
Upon entering the National Park will take you directly to the Cultural Centre for an introduction to the Anangu people and the cultural significance of this land. From here we go to the base of Uluru (Ayers Rock) for an interpretive tour. If you choose to climb Ayers Rock this is when you would do it. The local aboriginal people would prefer people did not climb the rock however the choice is yours. Watch the impressive sunset over Ayers Rock and the changing colours. Tonight enjoy a dinner cooked over a campfire and relax at our private campsite.
