At the Barron Falls a Skyrail attendant will meet your Gondola and you step out onto the Barron Falls mid station. Walk along the tracks which will lead you to three separate lookouts allowing you incredible views over the Barron Gorge and the Barron Falls. The Barron Falls are at their best during the wet season which is December to March each year.

Getting back on the Skyrail you will glide on to your final destination 7.5 kilometres from where you started the Skyrail experience. Explore the Kuranda Markets and the huge variety of stalls that have an organic flavour. Other options you can do at your own expense are Birdworld, the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary or the Kuranda Koala gardens. Enjoy the laid back atmosphere before going to the Kuranda train station to board the Scenic Railway train for the trip back down through the rainforest to Cairns.
Enjoy the green surroundings at the Kuranda railway station and admire the ferns and plants around this original attractive train platform. The Kuranda station has an enjoyable character and hasn't changed much in many decades.
The Kuranda Scenic Railway is a stunning journey offering the best views of the dense rainforest, steep gorge and picture perfect waterfalls. Be sure you have your video camera ready to shoot. Travel in the old railway carriages on the 1 hour 45 minute trip from Kuranda to Cairns.
