This exciting Cairns accommodation and tour package offers you the best experiences available departing from Cairns. You will stay at the Cairns Mantra Trilogy Hotel Resort for 6 nights and as well as doing day tours you also have a free day to look around the tourism capital of North Queensland, Cairns.
Day 1 : Sunday
When you arrive in Cairns you will be transported to the Mantra Trilogy in Cairns. This evening you will have a short tour briefing tonight you can have dinner at the cafe or restaurant of your choice nearby (own expense).
Day 2: Monday (BL)
Today is a day of Aboriginal culture. You will be picked up and transported to the Mossman Gorge and drive along one of the most scenic drives in Australia. The drive north from Cairns is along the ocean front with the mountains coming down to meet the sea. Arrive at Mossman Gorge for a unique rainforest experience - The Kuku Yalanji Dreamtime Walk. Your interpretive indigenous guide will take yo uon an easy 600 metre walk along a private track within the Gorge. You will learn about aboriginal culture, bush tucker and visit significant sites while taking in the lush green beauty of the rainforest. Enjoy a morning tea with time to ask questions of your guide. From here you go to Silky Oaks for lunch before a drive to Port Douglas which used to be a sleepy little town and now is a tourist mecca. After looking around Port Douglas it is time for the scenic drive back to Cairns.
Day 3: Tuesday (BL)
Great Barrier Reef Day Tour
This morning you will be picked up and taken to the Reef Fleet Terminal to board your Great Barrier Reef vessel to travel to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Snorkeling with snorkel gear and a trip in the semi submersible are included as is morning tea, a full buffet lunch and plenty of time to explore the 7th natural wonder of the world.
The Great Barrier Reef comes in close to the coast off Cairns and is home to sea turtles, myriads of colourful fish and a huge variety of soft and hard corals. This memorable day out on the Great Barrier Reef will be a highlight of your trip to Australia.
Day 4: Wednesday (B)
Start your day with a great breakfast at the Mantra Trilogy. Today you have a free day to take in the sights and activity in Cairns. Take a stroll along the Cairns waterfront, visit the pier with it's array of shops, cafes and restaurants. Visit Rusty's markets or the Botanical Gardens. There is a lot to see and do just in the CBD area of Cairns city.
Day 5: Thursday (B)
Hartleys Creek Crocodile Adventures
You will be picked up by our coach which will transport you to Hartleys Creek Crocodile Farm via a short scenic coastal drive north of Cairns. See large Saltwater Crocodiles that will jump out of the water to grab some meat, explore the wildlife parks and check out the other animals. Highlights of the park include the Wetlands cruise, the Crocodile Attack show and a Snake show. Your coach back to your Cairns accommodation departs at 4.50pm.

Day 6: Friday (B)
After your courtesy pick up you will find yourself gliding over the dense rainforest heading up the mountain glidng in your Gondola just above the rainforest canopy. There are two stops along the way you can get off and explore.
Red Peak Station
Approaching Red Peak station the Gondola will decend through the dense rainforest arriving deep in the rainforest. At the Skyrail Red Peak station you are able to explore the rainforest strolling along a 175 metre boardwalk at ground level. The station has towering rainforest trees, giant ferns and a variety of plants and wildlife. This is a great chance to experience the magic of the rainforest.
Barron Falls Station
Boarding your Gondola you will again be traveling over the rainforest you will be looking down into the Barron Gorge, a deep chasm with dense rainforest. At the Barron Falls a Skyrail attendant will meet your Gondola and you step out onto the Barron Falls mid station. Walk along the tracks which will lead you to three separate lookouts allowing you incredible views over the Barron Gorge and the Barron Falls. The Barron Falls are at their best during the wet season which is December to March each year.
Kuranda Village (free time in Kuranda with a scrumptous lunch)
You have some free time to explore Kuranda Village, a unique little town that still reflects the character of the hippy years in the 1960's. Explore the Kuranda Markets and the huge variety of stalls that have an organic flavour. Other options you can do at your own expense are Birdworld, the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary or the Kuranda Koala gardens. Enjoy the laid back atmosphere before being transferred by bus to the Kuranda Rainforest Station.
The Kuranda Scenic Railway is a stunning journey offering the best views of the dense rainforest, steep gorge and picture perfect waterfalls. Be sure you have your video camera ready to shoot. Travel in the old railway carriages on the 1 hour 45 minute trip from Kuranda to Cairns.
The Kuranda Scenic Railway was constructed between 1882 and 1891 by hundreds of men and by todays standards is an engineering feat of epic proportions. The 15 hand made tunnels and 37 bridges are a monument to the men who lost their lives during the construction of the railway.
You will be traveling along the very edge of the Barron Gorge with amazing views of the Barron Gorge as well as a different view over the landscape back to Cairns. You will travel past picture perfect waterfalls and through hand made tunnels and thick rainforest. The train will stop at Barron Falls where you can walk along the trails to three different lookouts before the train moves on and finally arrives at Freshwater station.
Day 7: Saturday (B)
Enjoy another great breakfast at the Mantra Trilogy at your leisure. You will be transported to the airport or railway station for you onward journey.
