Departures from Darwin:
Departs  April 2009 to November 2009 on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday @ 4.30pm in the afternoon. Please advise when booking where to pick you up from in Darwin. Pick ups are available from local accommodation venues. If you don’t yet know where you are staying we will give you the address to go to where you can board the tour. Alternatively you can tell our operator when you phone to reconfirm at least 24 hours prior to departure.

Accommodation while on tour is at permanent campsites.

Experienced tour guide, meals as per itinerary, croc and wildlife spotting cruise, accommodation transfers, camping fees & equipment.

What to Bring:
Refillable water bottle, Pillow for camping if required, towel, toiletries, insect repellent, sun block cream, hat, torch, warm clothes in winter months, good hiking shoes (preferably ankle high) no open toed sandals or flip flops (thongs). Any snacks you can’t live without.

Passenger Fitness:
This tour is ideally for fit active people who have a degree of fitness aged between 18 to 50, you should be able to undertake a return hike of up to 8 kilometres with no problems extreme temperatures can be experienced while on tour in the hotter months. This tour is not suitable for children under the age of 14 years of age.

Passenger Participation:
Passengers are required to assist the guide in the preparation and cleaning up of meals. This also helps you to get to know everyone.

Itinerary:
Day 1: - Darwin – Mary River Wetlands
Departing Darwin you will see the abundant birdlife on the Marrakai Floodplains as you head down the highway to Kakadu. The tour heads to the overnight camp arriving early evening where you can do some stargazing before getting a good nights sleep.

Day 2: - Corroboree Billabong - Kakadu
Up early today to take your private crocodile and wildlife cruise on Corroborree Billabong. A part of the Mary River System Corroboree Billabong is fringed with water lilly’s on both sides and is home to abundant birdlife and some very large Saltwater Crocodiles so make sure you have plenty of memory on your cameras. Next stop is the Bowali Visitor Centre where you can learn about the local Aboriginal people of Kakakdu. It’s a full day today as the tour then heads off to Ubirr Rock (seasonal) or Nourlangie Rock where you get to view ancient aboriginal rock art drawings regarded as some of the best in the world. From there it’s time for a refreshing swim at Maguk before heading to the overnight bush camp for another night under the stars.

Day 3: - Kakadu - Darwin
This morning you visit famous Twin Falls and take a short interpretive cruise and walk with your Aboriginal guide for Twin Falls, after that it’s time to get off road and travel along the sandy roads and creek crossings to hike into the magnificent Jim Jim Falls, after a reviving swim in the plunge pool you head off for the return trip to Darwin arriving early evening and finishing the tour.
