Darwin to Alice Springs Tour Day 1
Kakadu and Litchfield National Park
See the falls of Litchfield National Park before heading to the Mary River Wetlands.  This afternoon look for "crocs" and other wildlife on our private river cruise.  Arrive Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge to experience and Aboriginal Corroboree, dinner and overnight camp.

Darwin to Alice Springs Tour Day 2
Kakadu
We call in at Mamukala Wetlands then head to the awesome Jim Jim Falls to take a walk to the base of the falls before continuing on to Twin Falls.  Here we join a National Park operated boat ($12.50 extra own cost) for a guided cruise and boardwalk experience up the stunning gorge to the waterfall where you can relax on the sandy bank.  We drive on to Kakadu for dinner and our overnight camp.

Darwin to Alice Springs Tour Day 3
Kakadu - Darwin
Our first stop is Ubirr where we discover ancient Aboriginal Rock Art.  Climb to the top of Ubirr Rock for 360 degree views over the floodplain. We continue our journey to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge), where we do some hiking and enjoy a refreshing dip in the plunge pools.  We then return to Darwin, enjoying the impressive scenery along the way.  Overnight in Darwin.

Darwin to Alice Springs Tour Day 4
Darwin – Katherine Gorge
Departing early from Darwin the first stop is at Adelaide River before driving directly to Katherine. This afternoon you have the opportunity to explore Katherine Gorge by canoe or by guided boat (at own expense).  Spot a freshwater crocodile and admire the sheer walls of Nitmiluk National Park. Overnight at permanent campsite near Katherine Gorge.

Katherine Gorge to Tennant Creek
This morning the tour heads a short distance down the Stuart Highway to Mataranka Thermal Springs where you can soak away in the warm crystal clear thermal spring water. Next stop is the historic Daly Waters pub, the first pub in the Northern Territory, marvel at the things travelers have left behind over the years, definitely something different. After lunch it’s back on the highway to the overnight camp at Juno Horse Farm.

Tennant Creek to Alice Springs
Devils Marbles is the first stop this morning, check out the huge rounded boulders balanced delicately on the landscape and sacred to the local aboriginal people. From Devils Marbles the next stop is the Barrow Creek pub where you can see currency notes from all over the world stuck on the wall of the pub waiting for their owners next trip to the pub. The historic Telegraph Station gives you an insight into what communications used to be like. Moving on to Ti Tree you get the opportunity to view and or buy indigenous works of art. A quick trip over the Tropic of Capricorn and the tour then arrives in Alice Springs early evening. Overnight in Alice Springs.

Note:
Safaris must be reconfirmed by 4.00pm the day before travel.  Itineraries may vary and/or attractions may be substituted due to seasonal conditions, Traditional Owner and National Park requirements.  15 kilos luggage maximum on tour (about the same as the airlines). If you have more luggage than this you must talk to the operator about freighting the excess ahead to the tours end. You must do this when reconfirming your tour.

Reconfirming:
This operator requires you to phone and reconfirm at least 24 hours prior to departure. This is a condition of booking and something you must not forget to do.

On Tour Accommodation:
Accommodation while on tour is at permanent and bush campsites as well as hostel accommodation in a share dormitory with other travelers or with upgrade to private ensuited motel or lodge rooms for 3 nights.

What to Bring:
Refillable water bottle, Pillow for camping if required, towel, toiletries, insect repellent, sun block cream, hat, torch, warm clothes in winter months, good hiking shoes (preferably ankle high) no open toed sandals or flip flops (thongs). Any snacks you can’t live without.

Passenger Fitness:
This tour is ideally for fit active people who have a degree of fitness aged between 18 to 50, you should be able to undertake a return hike of up to 8 kilometres with no problems. This tour is not suitable for children under the age of 14 years of age.

Passenger Participation:
Passengers are required to assist the guide in the preparation and cleaning up of meals. This also helps you to get to know everyone.

Itineraries are subject to change in accordance with the weather (seasonal) and the wishes of the traditional Aboriginal owners wishes. Alternate locations are used if required.
