Insurance
This is compulsory for each person to pay Insurance which reduces the excess from $5000 down to $1000. This means it is the groups responsibility for the car even if you are not driving, if the driver is not being responsible then the group can stop the car and replace the driver.
Additional Costs are Food, Fuel and Alcohol
Oz Magic does not recommend hostel accommodation very often but we are happy to recommend Fraser Roving Hostel at Torquay, Hervey Bay as good, well priced budget accommodation. Well located just over the road from the beach and part of the Torquay complex of shops you are right next to everything. There is a pub down the road, a nightclub a few doors away. A pool and spa, bar, pool table and all facilities including a catered menu or your communal self cook kitchen. The hostel also has wheelchair access. Dorms are spartan, clean with beds only in them.
Doubles are available and seem more homely than the dorms. If travelling by coach Fraser Rovings courtesy bus will pick you up from your local Hervey Bay arrival point.
