Darwin to Broome
Day 1 - Darwin to Katherine Region
Departing from Darwin we stop at either Edith Falls for a swim or explore Katherine (Nitmiluk) Gorge (seasonal choice). We travel on to the Katherine region where you stay overnight.

Day 2 – Katherine to Lake Argyle
Today the tour heads for Lake Argyle, created by the Ord River Dam. Check out the sheer size of the Lake and explore the area before setting up camp for the night.

Day 3 – Lake Argyle to the Bungle Bungles
This morning it is time for some four wheel drive action as we make our way into the Bungle Bungles. It's a rough ride but the scenery is fantastic and you will enjoy your first Kimberley sunset as we set up our bush camp.

Day 4 – Bungle Bungles
Full day of exploration. The rock formations of the Bungle Bungles are amazing and we visit the majestic Echidna Chasm and massive Cathedral Gorge. There is a chance to view the Bungles by helicopter (own expense) before we return to camp.

Day 5 – Bungle Bungles to El Questro
We drive by four wheel track out of the Bungles to El Questro Station. Take it easy and sit back and admire the awesome scenery of the Carr Boyd and Durack Ranges as we head to Turkey Creek and onto El Questro to set up camp.

Day 6 – El Questro to the Gibb River Road
It’s an early start to hike into the beautiful Cockburn Ranges for a revitalising swim under the waterfall at Emma Gorge before starting the journey over the Pentecost River and along the Gibb River Road.

Day 7 – The Gibb River Road
Today it's time for swimming and hiking in the Kimberleys. We explore striking Manning Gorge and Barnett Gorge (time permitting). Your driver guide will use local knowledge to determine the most accessible gorges to explore. Tonight you camp at Manning Gorge.

Day 8 – Manning Gorge to Windjana Gorge
Today we explore Galvins or Adcock Gorge (seasonal) before making our way to Windjana Gorge, to spot some of the abundant freshwater crocodiles. It's also our camp for the night.

Day 9 – Bell Gorge
After breakfast we travel to Bell Gorge to take in the stunning falls there. After lunch we drive on to Windjana Gorge which was once part of a 375 million year old reef. Great spot to see Freshewater Crocodiles.

Day 10 - Windjana Gorge to Broome
We explore the Napier Range and take a walk through the Tunnel Creek which extends 750m underground, inside sunlight streams through cracks, little bats fly around and enormous stalacites rear down from the ceiling. After our walk we drive on to Cable Beach in Broome.

Included
Experienced guides, meals as indicated (BLD stands for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner), accommodation transfers, camping fees & equipment, hostel dorm accommodation. Some non permanent campsites have no facilities in which case bush toilets and showers would be used.

Note
Safaris must be reconfirmed by 4.00pm the day before travel.  Itineraries may vary and/or attractions may be substituted due to seasonal conditions, Traditional Owner and National Park requirements.  15 kilos luggage maximum on tour (about the same as the airlines). If you have more luggage than this you must talk to the operator about freighting the excess ahead to the tours end. You must do this when reconfirming your tour.

Reconfirming
This operator requires you to phone and reconfirm at least 24 hours prior to departure. This is a condition of booking and something you must not forget to do.

On Tour Accommodation
Accommodation while on tour is at permanent and non permanent bush campsites.

What to Bring
Comprehensive travel insurance policy. Refillable water bottle, Pillow for camping if required, towel, toiletries, insect repellent, sun block cream, hat, torch, warm clothes in winter months, good hiking shoes (preferably ankle high) no open toed sandals or flip flops (thongs). Any snacks you can’t live without. Sleeping bags are not supplied, if you don’t have your own sleeping bag you are able to purchase one for $50.00 per person. Please advise when booking if you need to buy a sleeping bag or not.

Passenger Fitness
This tour is ideally for fit active people who have a degree of fitness aged between 18 to 50, you should be able to undertake a return hike of up to 8 kilometres with no problems. This tour is not suitable for children under the age of 18 years of age. Tour can be traveling in extreme temperatures.

Passenger Participation
Passengers are required to assist the guide in the preparation and cleaning up of meals. This also helps you to get to know everyone.

Itineraries are subject to change in accordance with the weather (seasonal) and the wishes of the traditional Aboriginal owners wishes. Alternate locations are used if required.

This tour operator recommends all passengers have comprehensive travel insurance that includes helicopter medivac insurance because this tour travels to some extremely remote locations. Travel insurance offered by credit card companies is not comprehensive travel insurance.
