Darwin to Broome Tour Day 1
Darwin to Victoria River
The tour departs Darwin and heads south down the Stuart Highway to picturesque Edith Falls with time for a swim. Still heading south there is a short stop at Katherine Gorge before the tour turns west to head for the overnight campsite at Victoria River.

Darwin to Broome Day 2
Victoria River to Kununurra
This morning you cross the border into Western Australia and visit Lake Argyle which is the largest man made lake in Australia. Time to do some exploring before heading to the overnight campsite at Kununurra.

Darwin to Broome Day 3
Kununurra to the Bungle Bungles
Time to explore Kununurra and the Ord River Scheme and the Hidden Valley National Park before before relaxing on the drive and taking in the views of the Carr Boyd and Durack Ranges as the tour heads towards Turkey Creek.  Time to get into Four Wheel Drive for the road into the Bungle Bungle National Park. Overnight campsite in the national park.

Darwin to Broome Day 4
Bungle Bungles
Today is a day of exploring with a full day in the national park visiting Frog Hole, Echidna Chasm and Cathedral Gorge.  You also are able to take an optional helicopter flight at your own expense to get those hard to get aerial photos of the strange rock formations. Back to camp for another outstanding outback sunset and dinner.

Darwin to Broome Day 5
Bungle Bungle National Park to El Questro
After leaving the Bungle Bungles it’s back to Turkey Creek for a short stopver. From here the tour drives to the amazing Five Rivers Lookout at Wyndham to take in the view before heading to the overnight camp at El Questro.

Darwin to Broome Day 6
Gibb River Road and Gorges
It’s time to take on the challenging Gibb River Road for some punishing four wheel drive action before stopping at the famous El Questro Station. Time for a stroll in the Cockburn Ranges and a refreshing swim at Emma Gorge before you cross the Pentacost River and travel through the ranges before arriving at the overnight camp.

Darwin to Broome Day 7
Gibb River Road and Gorges
Gorges and swimming are on the itinerary today as you visit Barnett, Manning, Galvins or Adcock Gorge depending on seasonal conditions. Ovenight bush camp tonight.

Darwin to Broome Day 8
King Leopold Range to Windjana Gorge
This morning you enjoy an early morning hike to either Bell or Leonard Gorge depending on seasonal conditions. Afterwards a drive through the King Leopold Ranges rewards us with fantastic views before arriving at Windjana Gorge. After a hearty lunch you wade through the cold water of Tunnel Creek. Tonight you camp at Windjana Gorge National Park.

Darwin to Broome Day 9
Windjana Gorge to Broome
Time to spot wildlife and freshwater crocodiles at Windjana Gorge before visiting the Boab Prison Tree in Derby before the drive to Broome arriving late afternoon and the end of the tour. (no accommodation supplied this night).

Experienced guides, meals as indicated (BLD stands for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner), accommodation transfers, camping fees & equipment, hostel dorm accommodation. Some non permanent campsites have no facilities in which case bush toilets and showers would be used.

Note:
Safaris must be reconfirmed by 4.00pm the day before travel.  Itineraries may vary and/or attractions may be substituted due to seasonal conditions, Traditional Owner and National Park requirements.  15 kilos luggage maximum on tour (about the same as the airlines). If you have more luggage than this you must talk to the operator about freighting the excess ahead to the tours end. You must do this when reconfirming your tour.

Reconfirming:
This operator requires you to phone and reconfirm at least 24 hours prior to departure. This is a condition of booking and something you must not forget to do.

On Tour Accommodation:
Accommodation while on tour is at permanent and non permanent bush campsites.

What to Bring:
Refillable water bottle, Pillow for camping if required, towel, toiletries, insect repellent, sun block cream, hat, torch, warm clothes in winter months, good hiking shoes (preferably ankle high) no open toed sandals or flip flops (thongs). Any snacks you can’t live without. Sleeping bags are not supplied, if you don’t have your own sleeping bag you are able to purchase one for $50.00 per person. Please advise when booking if you need to buy a sleeping bag or not.

Passenger Fitness:
This tour is ideally for fit active people who have a degree of fitness aged between 18 to 50, you should be able to undertake a return hike of up to 8 kilometres with no problems. This tour is not suitable for children under the age of 14 years of age. Tour can be traveling in extreme temperatures.

Passenger Participation:
Passengers are required to assist the guide in the preparation and cleaning up of meals. This also helps you to get to know everyone.

Itineraries are subject to change in accordance with the weather (seasonal) and the wishes of the traditional Aboriginal owners wishes. Alternate locations are used if required.
