Tour finishes in Adelaide on Day 6 at 10.45pm

Bring with you:
A refillable water bottle, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, good hiking boots preferably ankle high, your camera.

Excess Luggage:
15 kilos is the maximum luggage on tour. If you have more than this you must phone the operator to talk about options for freighting excess luggage ahead with Greyhound.

Itinerary:

Melbourne to Adelaide Day 1:
Melbourne – Great Ocean Road - Princeton
Driving through Geelong the tour makes a stop to shop at Quicksilver and Rip Curl surf shops, heading on the next stop is famous surfing location Bells Beach. Winding our way along one of the most scenic drives in Australia we take in the Great Ocean Road. After a short stop at Lorne to try and see some Koalas the tour heads on to Apollo Bay. The Otway National Park is next with time to spend at the Otway Fly Tree Top Walk (included). At the end of the day you watch the sun set over the Twelve Apostles, just magic.

Melbourne to Adelaide Day 2:
Princeton – Grampians National Park
Take a walk down the Gibson Steps to take in the view of the Twelve apostles from a different perspective, if you like you can take an optional helicopter ride (at own expense) for some unique photo opportunities. The tour then visits Loch Arde, London Bridge, The Bay of Martyrs, The Bay of Islands as it passes through Warnambool. Next stop is the Grampians National Park where hikes include the Balconies, the Pinnacle and Reeds Lookout. You will get a good nights sleep tonight in private accommodation.

Melbourne to Adelaide Day 3:
Halls Gap - Adelaide
You are going to get a work out this morning with hikes to Frog Hollow, the incredible McKenzie Falls before driving through Horsham to Bordertown to spot kangaroos and then across the Murray River and onto Adelaide.

Melbourne to Adelaide Day 4:
Adelaide
Today you have a free day to explore the sights and sounds of Adelaide. Overnight accommodation is included.

Adelaide to Kangaroo Island Day 5:
Adelaide – Kangaroo Island
Driving through scenic Fleurieu Penninsular you arrive at Cape Jervis to board the Sealink Ferry for the 45 minute trip across Backstairs Passage to Penneshaw at Kangaroo Island.  Hooking up with the local guide the first stop is Pennington Bay, a superb surf beach.  It’s time to visit the only eucalyptus distillery in the the state at Emu Ridge. Next a walk on the beach at Seal Bay where you can get up close an personal with the local seal population.  Check out the sand dunes at Little Sahara and get close to a koala at the Hanson Bay Koala Sanctuary.  Tonight you stay at a farm stay and after dinner take a guided nocturnal walk to spot local wildlife.

Adelaide to Kangaroo Island Day 6:
Kangaroo Island - Adelaide
Check out the Remarkable Rocks in the magnificent Flinders Chase National Park. Visit the seal colony at Admirals Arch at Cape de Couedic. Next is lunch at Rocky River Headquarters information center and the start of some wildlife walks (seasonal option).  After lunch we hit the road traveling to the North Coast through farming land and visit Stokes bay to explore the tunnel that leads to a secluded beach.  The tour then returns to Penneshaw where you have the option to buy dinner (own expense) before catching the ferry back to Adelaide arriving around 10.45pm. (end of services no accommodation included)
