Itinerary:
6 Day Tasmania Tour Day 1:
Hobart - Strahan
The tour departs Hobart early morning and travels through the Mount Field National Park where you will do the Tall Trees and Russell Falls walk. The tour then moves on to Lake Saint Clair to take in the views of Australia’s deepest lake. Next you will explore the Franklin Gordon National Park hiking and seeing the sights. This evening you stay in the historic town of Strahan and learn a little about mining and local history.

6 Day Tasmania Tour Day 2:
Strahan – Cradle Mountain Area
Take a walk or a a pushbike ride along the waterfront of Strahan taking in the history of convicts, mining and pining or ride up to Water Tower Hill for an amazing view over the harbour and local beach. Take a walk through the rainforest to Hogarth Falls, if you are lucky you might spot a Platypus. Later in the day you take a walk through the Henty sand dunes where you can take an optional quad bike ride (at own expense). Next is a visit to the Silver City of Zeehan. Tonight you stay in overnight lodge accommodation.

6 Day Tasmania Tour Day 3:
Cradle Mountain - Devonport
This morning it is time to explore the Cradle Mountain National Park which is World Heritage listed. Breath the clean pollution free air on a guided walk of beautiful Dove Lake or if you are feeling fit you can take the harder, strenuous (unguided) hike to view Cradle Mountain. The tour explores more of the mid north before arriving at Devonport and your overnight accommodation.

6 Day Tasmania Tour Day 4:
Devonport to Bicheno
Departing from Devonport (or Launceston) the tours first stop are the magnificent Saint Colombus Falls with an ancient rainforest as a backdrop. Traveling through heritage farmlands, rainforest towns and mining towns the scenery is changing constantly. This afternoon you spend some time at the Bay of Fires. Stroll along the pristine beaches, take a swim if the weather permits. Overnight at Bicheno with the optional chance after dinner to go and see the penguins march (at own expense).

6 Day Tasmania Tour Day 5:
Bicheno to Port Arthur
Up early for the stunning drive into the Freycinet National Park and stunning views over Wine Glass Bay. You can hike to Wine Glass Bay Beach via the lookout or for those who are fitter a challenging hike to the top of Mount Amos. Next stop is Port Arthur traveling along the Tasman Peninsular to get there. Experience the Port Arthur Ghost Tour and learn about the past of the penal colony (optional at own expense).

6 Day Tasmania Tour Day 6:
Port Arthur to Hobart
Time to explore the infamous past of Port Arthur this morning or perhaps take a boat cruise in the harbour. The Remarkable Cave is the next stop with further stops before you arrive in Hobart late afternoon.

Note:
Safaris must be reconfirmed by 4.00pm the day before travel. Itineraries may vary and/or attractions may be substituted due to seasonal conditions, Traditional Owner and National Park requirements. 15 kilos luggage maximum on tour (about the same as the airlines). If you have more luggage than this you must talk to the operator about freighting the excess ahead to the tours end. You must do this when reconfirming your tour.

Reconfirming:
This operator requires you to phone and reconfirm at least 24 hours prior to departure. This is a condition of booking and something you must not forget to do.
On Tour Accommodation:
Accommodation while on tour is at hostel accommodation in a share dormitory with other travelers or with upgrade to private ensuited motel or lodge rooms for 5 nights.
What to Bring:
Refillable water bottle, towel, toiletries, insect repellent, sun block cream, hat, torch, warm clothes in winter months, good hiking shoes (preferably ankle high) no open toed sandals or flip flops (thongs). Any snacks you can’t live without.
Passenger Fitness:
This tour is ideally for fit active people who have a degree of fitness aged between 18 to 50, you should be able to undertake a return hike of up to 8 kilometres with no problems. This tour is not suitable for children under the age of 14 years of age.
Itineraries are subject to change in accordance with the weather (seasonal) and the wishes of the traditional Aboriginal owners wishes. Alternate locations are used if required.
