Sydney to Cairns Tour Day 1
Sydney to Surf Camp
Today you head to a secluded surf camp on the beach north of Sydney. Today is taking it easy on the beach or taking a walk around the headland, Dinner is at Mojo’s Beach house tonight.

Sydney to Cairns Tour Day 2
Surf Camp to Byron Bay
After a great breakfast it’s time to hit the beach for your first surf lesson. Professional surf instructors from Mojo are there to take you through the moves. They will do their best to have you standing on a surfboard by the time the lessons over. First you do a theory lesson on surfing and then you head to the beach to get on a board. After the lesson it’s time to head to Australia’s most eastern point, Byron Bay.

Sydney to Cairns Tour Day 3
Byron Bay to Rainbow Beach
Be the first people in Australia to see the sunrise this morning. You have the option to walk to the lighthouse with your guide and if you are lucky you might see some dolphins. After breakfast the tour heads to Rainbow Beach via Surfers Paradise. Traveling on to Brisbane the tour may take onboard some new passengers before stopping to take in the scenery at Wild Horse Mountain. Bring your camera for excellent views over Noosa, Sunshine Coast and Mooloolaba. Rainbow Beach is the next stop with overnight accommodation right near the beach.

Sydney to Cairns Tour Days 4 - 5
Rainbow Beach to Fraser Island
You will spend the next two days exploring Fraser Island on a Fraser Explorer guided tour. Your accommodation will be at Eurong Beach Resort which is right on the beach on the eastern side of the island. See Lake McKenzie, spot a dingo as you tour this magnificent island. The worlds largest sand island and one of the few places that rainforest grows in sand. See the Maheno Shipwreck, climb Indian Head to look for sharks and swim in the pure water of Eli Creek.

Sydney to Cairns Tour Day 6
Rainbow Beach to Kroombit Cattle Station
Today you have the option of going dolphin feeding at Tin Can Bay. You can join everyone on the bus or take the ferry at your own expense. After Dolphin Feeding the tour moves on to Kroombit Cattle Station where you will get the chance to see real outback living, ride a mechanical bull or take a walk around the station. Tonight you get to try traditional Aussie Camp Fire Dinner cooked in the open fire.

Sydney to Cairns Tour Day 7
Kroombit Station
Today is busy as you experience things that are included in the price of the tour. Participate in a muster on horseback learning about the life in the outback. Have a go at trap shooting or join in the Mini Rodeo herding animals into the ring. Tonight you get to relive the experiences with a cold beer and a tasty camp fire oven dinner.

Sydney to Cairns Tour Day 8
Kroombit Station to Carnarvon Gorge
Forging further into remote outback Queensland the tour travels on to Carnarvon Gorge where 200 species of birds live and there is 30 kilometres of walking tracks. The Gorge is also home to ancient Aboriginal Rock art dating back 3,500 years as well as rare ancient plant life. Take a walk in the afternoon and get to know the local wildlife with many wallabies and kangaroos resident here. The tour overnights at the permanent campsite.

Carnarvon Gorge
Today is spent hiking the many trails in Carnarvon Gorge, you will learn about ancient cycads and the aboriginal people in this area while taking in the massive eucalypts and rock art in this area. Tonight you return to your permanent campsite for a good nights sleep dreaming of the Whitsundays which is where you are going next.

Sydney to Cairns Tour Day 10
Carnarvon Gorge to Airlie Beach
The tour hits the road for the long drive from Carnarvon Gorge to Airlie Beach. Moving into the Mackay region sugar cane fields appear to take over the landscape as you near Mackay. You arrive in Airlie Beach to spend the night relaxing or to hit the nightclubs. Tomorrow you are sailing.

Sydney to Cairns Tour Days 11 - 13
Whitsunday Islands Sailing
You depart Airlie Beach on a million dollar yacht to sail off into the Whitsunday Islands on a 2 day 2 night sailing adventure. Join in the sailing of the boat or just sunbake and relax taking in the islands as they slide past the boat. Whitehaven Beach will be on the itinerary as well as some snorkeling and optional scuba diving (at own expense) if you book when checking in. There will be time on Whitehaven Beach where you can hike to the lookout for one of those postcard pics. Watch the stingrays at play from the pure white sands.
Note: Accommodation onboard the boat is in non private single or double bunks only. Returning from Sailing the tour will head off to Townsville and cross by ferry to Magnetic Island. You end the day with a cold drink as you watch the sunset from the only backpacker hostel in Australia that is on the beach.

Sydney to Cairns Tour Day 14
Magnetic Island to Cairns
Heading back to the mainland by ferry you travel north again to watch the scenery changing from dry Australia bush to lush green rainforest that gets thicker as we travel north. The next stop is the Johnston River Crocodile Farm where you will learn about one of Australia’s most feared predators, the Saltwater Crocodile. Bring your camera’s zoom lense as there will be photo opportunities. From here the tour will stop for a rainforest walk at Babinda Boulders where you will learn about the Aboriginal spirit of a woman who lives in the creek who is said to be responsible of the drowning deaths of males at this location. You arrive in Cairns in the late afternoon where the tour ends.

Note:
Safaris must be reconfirmed by 4.00pm the day before travel. Itineraries may vary and/or attractions may be substituted due to seasonal conditions, Traditional Owner and National Park requirements. 15 kilos luggage maximum on tour (about the same as the airlines). If you have more luggage than this you must talk to the operator about freighting the excess ahead to the tours end. You must do this when reconfirming your tour.
Reconfirming:
This operator requires you to phone and reconfirm at least 24 hours prior to departure. This is a condition of booking and something you must not forget to do.
On Tour Accommodation:
Accommodation while on tour is at permanent campsites as well as hostel accommodation in a share dormitory with other travelers or with the optional upgrade to private budget hostel twin or double room for 11 nights.
What to Bring:
Refillable water bottle, Pillow for camping if required, towel, toiletries, insect repellent, sun block cream, hat, torch, warm clothes in winter months, good hiking shoes (preferably ankle high) no open toed sandals or flip flops (thongs). Any snacks you can’t live without.
Passenger Fitness:
This tour is ideally for fit active people who have a degree of fitness aged between 18 to 50, you should be able to undertake a return hike of up to 8 kilometres with no problems. This tour is not suitable for children under the age of 14 years of age.
Passenger Participation:
Passengers are required to assist the guide if required.
