Up early for the Uluru sunrise where you can enjoy a walk around the base or choose to climb Uluru (fitness required). We visit the Cultural Centre before lunch then depart for Kings Canyon. Camp oven dinner and overnight at our permanent campsite. (B, L, D)
Day 3: Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
Climb and explore Kings Canyon viewing the impressive formations including the breathtaking North and South Walls, the Amphitheatre and the Garden of Eden. After lunch we journey back to Alice Springs. Overnight dorm accommodation included. (B, L)
Alice Springs to Darwin Day 4: Alice Springs to Banka Banka
Today we cross the Tropic of Capricorn, see the amazing Devils Marbles, visit an Aboriginal Art Gallery, stop for a swim (summer only) at picturesque Mary Ann Dam then pass through Tennant Creek as we head to historic Banka Banka Cattle Station for dinner and overnight camp. (L, D)
Alice Springs to Darwin Day 5: Banka Banka to Katherine Gorge
Call in at the famous Outback Pub at Daly Waters, have a swim in Mataranka Thermal Springs, then head to the magnificent Katherine Gorge for overnight camp. (B, L, D)
Alice Springs to Darwin Day 6: Katherine Gorge to Darwin
Spend half a day at the spectacular Katherine Gorge (canoe, boat cruise or helicopter ride available at own expense) before heading to Darwin via Edith Falls and Adelaide River. (B, L)
Alice Springs to Darwin Day 7: Darwin to Mary River
See the falls of Litchfield National Park then on to the Mary River Wetlands for an afternoon wildlife cruise. Enjoy dinner, an Aboriginal Corroboree and overnight camp at Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge. (L, D)
Alice Springs to Darwin Day 8: Mary River to Kakadu
We call in at Mamukala Wetlands then 4WD into the awesome Jim Jim Falls before heading to Twin Falls where we join a National Park operated boat and boardwalk experience through the gorge to the waterfall ($10.00pp extra charge). We drive on to Kakadu for dinner and overnight camp. (B, L, D)
Alice Springs to Darwin Day 9: Kakadu to Darwin
Our first stop is Ubirr to discover ancient Aboriginal rock art then head to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge), where we do some hiking and enjoy a refreshing dip in the plunge pools before returning to Darwin. (B, L)

Sturdy walking shoes (ankle high), hat, sunscreen, towel, toiletries, warm clothing in winter, water bottle, torch, insect repellent, camera, film, pillow, sleeping bag (can be hired for $15.00).

Experience a camel ride (own expense) at the Outback Camel Farm, then journey on to Uluru (Ayers Rock). After lunch, explore Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and hike the Valley of the Winds, then watch the desert sun set over Uluru.
