Ayers Rock Tour Day 1 Alice Springs to Kata Tjuta & Uluru
Welcome to Outback Australia! The first stop is the famous Outback Camel Farm where you can see the world from the back of a camel if you choose to take a ride (own expense). Next you travel to the Ayers Rock Resort for your first glimpse of Uluru, located in the heart of the Red Centre. After lunch, we explore fascinating Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) on a guided interpretive walk through the Valley of the Winds. We get back in time for an incredible desert sunset over Uluru watching the changing colours. After dinner, curl up in your Aussie swag (bedroll) under millions of stars.
Ayers Rock Tour Day 2 Uluru to Kings Canyon
Sunrise over Uluru is always amazing and it’s an early start to see it. While the morning’s fresh enjoy an unguided walk around the base of Uluru learning more about the land, its stories and the people who inhabit it at the Cultural Centre, where you’ll also have the opportunity to invest in original arts and crafts by Indigenous artists before we head to our exclusive campsite at Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon) where we sleep for the night.

Ayers Rock Tour Day 3 Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
There’s a lot to see at Kings Canyon and we explore the Amphitheatre, Lost City, the lush and ancient Garden of Eden and the sheer outcrops of the North and South walls. After lunch, the tour travels back to Alice Springs where we spend the night at the Alice Lodge Backpackers.
Ayers Rock Tour Day 4 Glen Helen to Alice Springs
Today we travel to the West McDonnell Ranges, we journey through the spectacular Ormiston Gorge watching out for Wallabies and other wildlife. From here we move onto Ellery Creek to enjoy panoramic views of the area, perhaps take a swim in the still waters. AFter lunch, visit the world famous Simpsons Gap, an important site to the local Aborigines. We head to the Western McDonnell Ranges and watch the colours transform the peaks under a setting sun on an optional hour long sunset camel ride (own expense). From here we head back to Alice Springs.
Note *Flights must arrive before 1.20pm to connect with Yulara Airport Shuttle (free 6km transfer) to Desert Gardens Hotel. Please arrive in appropriate touring clothing and footwear with a day pack prepared.
Sturdy walking shoes (ankle high), hat, sunscreen, towel, toiletries, warm clothing in winter, water bottle, torch, insect repellent, camera, film, pillow, sleeping bag can be purchased for $35 in winter and $45 in summer, strict 15 kilo per person luggage limit.
Experienced guide, meals as indicated, accommodation transfers, camping fees and equipment. Please note passengers are required to assist guide with meal and camp preparation.
Note Tour is not suitable for chidren aged 7 years or under.
