At 115ft Defender is a classic island trader vessel build
entirely from timber. A massive deckspace gives you room to
move around and to find your own personal sunbaking spot in the Whitsundays sun.
Built in Australia by Aussie shipbuilder George Frost, George has 22 ships to his credit and Defender is considered his best. During the warm weather you can choose from sleeping onboard or on the beach in a twin share tent on an Whitsundays island.
A typical Whitsundays itinerary can include a day spent on Whitehaven Beach, a bush walk at Hill Inlet and dinner under the stars at Nara Inlet at Hook Island, a bush walk to see aboriginal rock art caves or a trip to Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island. Weather and tide conditions dictate Whitsunday Islands destinations on each day.
Defender takes a maximum of 25 passengers and 4 crew on each Whitsundays trip.
Freshly prepared Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is provided a good variety of dishes is provided daily and special dietry requirements can be catered for with advance notice when booking. Defender does not serve alcohol so you are able to BYO (no glass please).
Snorkeling:
Snorkeling is free of charge and all snorkel gear is provided free of charge.
Extra Costs*:
Price does not include Great Barrier Reef EMC $5.00, Queensland National Parks $1.35, Fuel Levy Admin/Collection fees $4.65, up to a Maximum of $26 for 2 day 1 night. Stinger suit hire AU$10.00 per person compulsory during Stinger season (1st Oct to 31st May).

We include Hot Showers, Fresh Linen (bring your own towels), freshly prepared gourmet meals and snorkel gear.
What to Bring:
Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, toiletries, towels, swimmers, rubber soled sandshoes and sandals, warm jumper, shorts, T/Shirts, camera all in a small soft bag. Excess luggage should be left on the mainland. Secure lock up facilities are available in Airlie Beach reservations will advise when checking in.

Advance bookings are essential. A deposit is required to secure your booking with the balance payable on arrival for departure.
